Miral is one of the highlights of this year's celebration of Palestinian cinema, which takes place in Sydney from November 18 - 21 and Melbourne from November 25 - 28.
The festival opens at Sydney's Norton Street cinema on November 18 with a screening of Michel Khleifi's Zindeeq, the surreal tale of an exiled filmmaker who returns to his homeland a virtual stranger, and is repeatedly shunned by his compatriots.
