But through a series of catastrophic misunderstandings, she irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses Robbie Turner (James McAvoy), the housekeeper’s son and lover of her sister Cecilia (Keira Knightley), of a crime he did not commit. A stunning, moving film that is sure to bring a few tears to your eyes. (And who could forget Keira Knightley's magnificent green dress?)

Cold Mountain

What's it about?
In this epic war drama, Ada (Nicole Kidman), the daughter and of a minister, and Inman (Jude Law), a Confederate soldier, pine for one another while he's off taking part in the Civil War. Meanwhile, the death of Ada's father leaves her destitute and she it takes the intervention of a pragmatic young woman named Ruby (Renee Zellweger, who won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Support Role) to give her the strength to go on. The stellar cast also includes Natalie Portman, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Donald Sutherland.

Apocalypse Now Redux

What's it about?
Redux adds to the arrative of Coppola's definitive story of war. Vietnam, the '70s. U.S. Army intelligence officer Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) is sent to Cambodia to eliminate the deranged US Colonel Walter E Kurtz (Marlon Brando), who is conducting unauthorised operations from a remote jungle compound guarded by local tribesmen and fellow U.S. soldiers who have also deserted.
