What's it about?
Ten years after her memorable performance in Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman stars in Tarantino's Kill Bill, a spectacular two-part saga, jam-packed with martial arts, samurais and western action. She plays The Bride, once part of a group of world-class female assassins, until her employer and husband, Bill (David Carradine), and other members of the group turn against her and have her shot. Five years later, she awakens from her coma. She heads off around the world on a roaring rampage of revenge, with plans to kill each person involved, saving Bill for the grand finale.

The slower-paced Kill Bill Vol. 2 delves deeper into the stories of the characters, but don't expect any less stunning fighting scenes and brilliant dialogues from this second instalment. The murderous Bride (Uma Thurman) continues her vengeful quest against her ex-boss and -lover, Bill (David Carradine), starting with Bill's younger brother Budd (Michael Madsen) and one-eyed villain Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), the only remaining assassins from the squad who betrayed her four years earlier.

What's it about?
With his 1997 movie Jackie Brown, Blaxploitation fan Tarantino pays homage to its queen, Pam Grier, who starred as a badass sex kitten in the '70s classics Coffy and Foxy Brown. In Jackie Brown, she is a sultry, scheming and dangerous flight attendant who smuggles cash into America for local gunrunner Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson)... until an ATF Agent busts her at the airport. With sympathetic bailbondsman on her side (Robert Forster), Jackie Brown is planning to elude the cops, the criminals and her ruthless boss by escaping to a better life with a half million dollars in cash.
