SBS and NITV have been recognised with a record number of nominations for the 2024 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards, with a total of 23 nominations across major scripted, factual, children's, and entertainment categories.

Leading the SBS charge is the anthology series Erotic Stories, with five nominations including Best Drama Series, followed by NITV and SBS's landmark documentary series The Australian Wars, which garnered three, as did the miniseries Safe Home. The latter shares the Best Miniseries category with fellow SBS nominee While The Men Are Away. The year's factual smash hit Alone Australia is a contender for Best Factual Entertainment Program, a category it shares with fellow SBS nominee, Who The Bloody Hell Are We? The industry recognition doesn't end there, with nominees for hit children's program Barrumbi Kids, road-tripping foodie favourite, Adam & Poh's Great Australian Bites, nightly quizMastermind, and the epic Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

To be held on the Gold Coast from February 2024, in recognition and celebration of Australia's highest achievements in film and television, the AACTA Awards present over 55 awards across two major ceremonies. The peer-assessed AACTA Awards are the only Australian industry body to honour practitioners across all crafts and industry sectors, including feature film, documentary, short film, television, online, visual effects and animation.
