Well here's the flip side of Lassie as Varsity Blues director Brian Robbins regurgitates another of Disney's back catalogue Shaggy Dog. After being bitten by a three hundred year old Tibetan wonder dog Dave Douglas - Tim Allen the Deputy District Attorney turns into one himself. He just happens to be representing the pharmaceutical company run by Dr. Kozak - Robert Downey Jr. accused of experimenting on animals. Secretly Dr. Kozak is trying to discover the fountain of youth gene that the Tibetan dog possesses. Why didn't they just let sleeping dogs lie, this is one woeful remake that lacks the humor of the original and who's bark has no bite.
