Writer/director Leon Ford has commenced shooting his debut feature, Griff The Invisible, in Sydney.

The romantic comedy follows the adventures of Griff - office worker by day, superhero by night - whose world is turned upside down when he meets Melody, a beautiful young scientist who shares his passion for the impossible.

It stars Australian-born Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) in the lead role of Griff and Maeve Dermody (Beautiful Kate) as Melody. It also co-stars local actors, Patrick Brammall and Toby Schmitz.

Ford is producing the film with Nicole O'Donohue, and industry heavyweights Jan Chapman (The Piano, Lantana, Bright Star) and Scott Meek (Velvet Goldmine) take executive producing credits. Griff The Invisible will be distributed locally by Transmission Films next year.
