18 year-old Michela will sing for Malta at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. The resident of the tiny island of Gozo, won the final of X-Factor, and attended the Ultimate Artist development program in London, where she worked with Rihanna's producer.
Michela describes herself as an average teenager. She explains: "... but when I start singing, it’s as if my voice takes over my entire being. Aretha Franklin once said that you sing soul with your whole body. I know exactly what she means."
