Laurent B?n?gui`s Au Petit Marguery is about the final night of a grand old restaurant, a Paris bistro about to close down, its place to be taken by a bank. B?n?gui, whose father ran a restaurant also called Au Petit Marguery, has made an ensemble piece in which guests and customers of the ailing master chef Michel Aumont and his wife, St?phane Audran, gather for one last fabulous meal. Between courses, personal conflicts are explored and flashbacks flesh out incidents from the lives of the restuarant owners...Relaxed and a bit sentimental, the film is modest but very enjoyable and, like the recent \"Big Night\", should be followed by an excellent meal.
