It`s not often a documentary gets big screen treatment these days, so when one do you sit up and take notice... Original Schtick charts the experience of American artist Bob Fischer setting up a show in Australia, in Melbourne. Bob`s one of those up-front sort of guys, a relentless self- promoter, a user and abuser of people, and he`s relatively charmless. Which is why this documentary is all part of the `Bob in Australia` Show, it`s jaw-droppingly revealing and very clever...Really well shot and directed by Maciej Wszelaki and edited by Jane Usher the documentary is beautifully ironic... if you wonder why you should bother to spend your time with this most obnoxious person, by the end it all becomes clear...David`s Comments: An excellent documentary with a fascinating and compelling subject. I do feel that Bob Fischer`s attempt to control the documentary (which seems to be an extension of his own `art`) is ultimately thwarted by director Maciek Wszelaki and his team but this is still very engrossing and unusual.
