Alfie is a remake of the 1966 comedy, that launched Michael Caine\'s career. Jude Law stars as Alfie, an Englishman working as a chauffeur in New York City. He\'s a serial womanizer all the fun without any of the responsibility - until he comes up against a female version of himself - Liz (played by Susan Sarandon). Jude Law delivers a reasonable performance mimicking Michael Caine\'s straight to camera narration, but times have changed, and without any punch this morality tale falls short.
