This November is packed with hit returning series, international dramas, a new SBS Original and the UK takes on 'Alone'.

Meet the Neighbours - season 1

In a television first, SBS and Blackfella Films’ new three-part documentary series Meet the Neighbours follows eight households from diverse cultural backgrounds as they leave the city behind and seek to live and work in the small town of Maryborough, Victoria, for three months.

Presented by Myf Warhurst, this bold social experiment provides insight into the challenges faced by regional Australia, including a lack of affordable housing, skilled workers shortages, and under-investment in crucial services and infrastructure. It’s not just the fate of one town that hangs in the balance. Meet the Neighbours reflects on what the bigger solutions might be for towns doing it tough right across the nation.

Meet the Neighbours will be available to stream free on SBS On Demand from Wednesday 1 November, or you can tune in weekly Wednesdays from 1 November at 7:30pm on SBS.

Alone UK - season 1

We've had the USA (plus Frozen & The Beast), Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and of course Australia. Now it's the UK's turn to take on the toughest survival competition. If you're a fan, you know the drill, eleven people are dropped in Canada's remote wilderness, they compete to survive for as long as possible... completely alone. Who will be the last one standing and win the £100k prize?

Better Things - seasons 1 - 4

This dramedy from the US centres on Sam Fox (Pamela Adlon - also the series creator), a single, working actor with no filter raising her three daughters, Max, Frankie and Duke in Los Angeles. She’s mum, dad, referee and the cops. Sam also watches out for her mother, Phil, an English expatriate, who lives across the street. Sam is flawed and fierce with her love for her daughters, and her own mother as well, sometimes heaping the love on when she feels guilty. Sam’s just trying to earn a living, navigate her daughters’ lives, have fun with a friend or two and also – just maybe – squeeze in some private time once in a while. See why it's been dubbed "One of the very best series on television."

World on Fire - season 2

1941. RAF pilots are sent to destroy German bombers prowling the skies above Manchester, with rescue operations underway on the streets below. The true reality of war has arrived in Britain.

Telling the story of World War Two through the eyes of ordinary people, following intrepid young heroes fighting for freedom, World on Fire series two will take viewers from the war-torn streets of Britain deep into Nazi Germany, the resistance within occupied France, and the brutal sands of the North African desert – where troops struggle to adapt to a very different kind of combat.

World on Fire season 2 premieres exclusively in Australia on SBS On Demand Thursday 2 November. Season 1 will also be available to stream.

If you liked Jordskott you should definitely add this to your watchlist.

Swedish couple David and Siri have known and loved each other since school. However, when they meet the French art student Camille on a rainy night, a threesome develops. Season 2 starts right where season 1 ends, in the taxi on the way home from Camille's party in the collective. But instead of following Siri we now switch to David's perspective and it will be his journey that we follow throughout season 2. The series is about a break up. About leaving, and being left by the one you love. And about standing on your own two feet.

Das Boot - season 4

The internationally renowned drama series returns with a fourth season. In the latest season two thrilling storylines intertwine. Siblings Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass) and Klaus Hoffmann (Rick Okon) are poles apart as the season begins before a shared tragedy brings them closer together. But each will have their own battle to fight. Klaus embarks as U-Boat Commander again on a mission to alter the course of the war. Hannie feels compelled to uncover and bring down a group of uniformed criminals who have embraced the Reich’s darkest tendencies.

Das Boot season 4 premieres exclusively in Australia on SBS On Demand Thursday 16 November.

Fargo - season 5

The all new “true crime” case of Fargo’s fifth installment is set in Minnesota and North Dakota, 2019. After an unexpected series of events lands “Dorothy ‘Dot’ Lyon” (Juno Temple) in hot water with the authorities, this seemingly typical Midwestern housewife is suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind.

The new season from acclaimed series creator and executive producer Noah Hawley features an all-star ensemble cast including Juno Temple, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Jason Leigh, David Rysdahl, Joe Keery, Lamorne Morris, Richa Moorjani, Sam Spruell, and Dave Foley.

Fargo season 5 premieres exclusively in Australia with a double episode Wednesday 22 November on SBS On Demand (episode 1 available 2:01PM AEDT and episode 2 3:01PM AEDT) with new episodes landing weekly. You can tune in weekly from Wednesday 22 November at 9:20PM on SBS, fast-tracked from the US.

You may have seen the dark Polish crime drama Raven on SBS before, and we are excited to have this excellent and unpredictable thriller back and with a new season in tow.

Former Special Forces soldier Saïd is the new leader of the B.R.I., an elite unit of young and fiery police officers who fight organised crime and terrorism. He’s taking over the role from Patrick, an old-fashioned cop who learned everything he knows by spending too long in the company of criminals. As the B.R.I. gets caught up in a gang war that could set Paris on fire, Saïd struggles to maintain his moral values while finding his way as the unit’s new leader. Will he, like Patrick before him, be forced to turn to crime in order to fight it?

The latest series from novelist, screenwriter and director, Jérémie Guez (Night Eats the World).

Hunters - seasons 1 & 2

Hunters season 1

Rolf Lassgård reprises his role as crime detective Erik Bäckström in this crime series that is a spin-off of the 1996 hit film The Hunters (Jägarna) and its 2011 sequel False Trail (Jägarna 2). Bäckström quits police work and hides himself away in northern Sweden, but retirement isn't always easy. Erik gets drawn back in, helping his nephew Peter, a rookie at the local police and Markus, the local mining entrepreneur who has been receiving threats. When Markus is attacked Erik’s routine search for the attacker takes an unpleasant turn.

In season two Bäckström's calm existence is shaken when Joar Särn reappears in his life, 15 years after he was convicted of a murder that still plagues the small community in northern Sweden.

Furia - season 2

Furia returns for a second season.
