The Hospital: In the Deep End - season 2

In the compelling new season of The Hospital: In the Deep End, three new iconic Australians step onto the frontline where the stakes are high, and compassion is critical. The series return expands its lens to explore a wider range of departments than ever before across not one, but two of the busiest and most well-known hospitals in the country.

Award-winning food journalist, best-selling cookbook author, radio presenter and international TV personality Matt Preston, former professional tennis player, broadcaster and public speaker Jelena Dokic, and Hollywood actor, producer, and activist Ruby Rose, each arrive with a deeply personal connection to the public health system, but nothing has prepared them for the emotional and eye-opening experiences ahead.

The Hospital: In The Deep End season 2 premieres Thursday 5 March at SBS and SBS On Demand. Episodes air weekly on SBS starting Thursday 5 March at 8.30pm.

The Hospital: In The Deep End season 1 is now streaming at SBS On Demand.

Sometimes the best partner doesn’t walk on two legs. Hudson & Rex follows Detective Charlie Hudson (John Reardon) of the St. John’s Police Department Major Crimes Unit, who teams up with Rex — a highly trained German Shepherd K9 with sharp instincts and an unbreakable bond with his handler.

In season 8, Rex has a new partner by his side, Detective Mark Hudson (Luke Roberts), Charlie's brother.

From chasing down dangerous criminals to uncovering hidden evidence no human could find, Hudson & Rex prove that teamwork comes in many forms. Alongside Dr. Sarah Truong (Mayko Nguyen), Superintendent Donovan (Kevin Hanchard), and tech specialist Jesse (Justin Kelly), the new duo tackles complex cases with heart, humour, and plenty of tail-wagging loyalty.

Blending classic police procedural thrills with the irresistible charm of man’s best friend, Hudson & Rex delivers action, mystery, and a reminder that sometimes the smartest detective in the room is the one with four paws.

Hudson & Rex season 8 premieres Sunday 8 March at SBS On Demand.

Winter Palace

In 1899, Andre Morel envisions a luxury hotel open all winter. Armed with a dream and his hospitality experience, he tries to persuade Lord Fairfax to invest in his hotel in the Swiss mountains.

Together they work to open the hotel, battling demanding guests, rebellious staff and harsh weather.

Winter Palace premieres Thursday 12 March at SBS On Demand.

Northern Exposure - seasons 1-6

(Right) Rob Morrow as Joel Fleischman in Northern Exposure.

A recently graduated New York City physician, Dr. Joel Fleischman, is sent to practice in the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska, to fulfil his obligation after Alaska paid for his medical education. Early episodes deal with Fleischman's culture shock in the small town.

While the show was nominally premised on the fish out of water conflict between Fleischman's big city ways and the small-town mores of the Cicely residents, its focus shifted to dive more deeply into the quirky personalities of the eccentric townfolk.

Northern Exposure seasons 1-6 premiere Thursday 19 March at SBS On Demand.

Nepobaby

Emma is a newly graduated physiotherapist who has just outbid others to buy her first apartment together with Niko, the man she’s about to marry. There’s little that bothers Emma about the arrangement - except that she’d prefer a smaller wedding. As things stand, Niko’s large extended family from Trøndelag will descend upon the event, making it painfully obvious that she has no relatives, no siblings, and no father. She has Mona, her mother, and that’s it.

When Emma is summoned to a lawyer’s meeting, which she assumes is a surprise bachelorette party, she gets the shock of her life. What she thinks is a stripper pretending to be a lawyer turns out to be an actual lawyer, who informs her that she does, in fact, have a family. Quite a large one. She is the secret daughter of shipping magnate Ludvig “Doddo” Bullmann, and not only has she been included in his will, but she has been given equal standing, with four siblings she never knew existed.

What do you do when you find out you’re the daughter of one of Norway’s richest men? And on top of that, you get the thing you’ve always wanted most: a family - thrown in for free. And who is Emma now, when she’s no longer just an ordinary 25-year-old raised by a single mother with no money? What does that do to her? And what if the siblings you’ve wished for your entire life actually want nothing to do with you?

Nepobaby premieres Thursday 19 March at SBS On Demand.

Coroner is a character-driven drama about Dr. Jenny Cooper, a recently-widowed, new coroner who investigates any suspicious, unnatural or sudden deaths in Toronto.

Each death brings Jenny into a new arena in the city, and sparks on buzzworthy themes. Jenny taps into her intuition as much as her intellect and heart as she solves cases with the help of Homicide Detective Donovan McAvoy, a man who isn’t afraid of challenging the status quo; pathologist Dr. Dwayne Allen, his assistant River Baitz; and Alison Trent, Jenny’s assistant, who always keeps it real.

While Jenny solves mysterious deaths, she also deals with clinical anxiety, a teenage son, Ross, who is still grieving the death of his father, and the prospect of starting a new relationship with the enigmatic Liam, who is her neighbour and handyman.

Coroner seasons 1-4 premiere Sunday 22 March at SBS On Demand.

What if the one thing standing between you and your future was the ghost of who you used to be? Premiering Saturday 28 March at 8.30pm on SBS and SBS On Demand, Homebodies is a bold, surprising and heartfelt Australian family drama that explores the courage it takes to accept the ghosts of our past.

Fresh from its selection for this year’s prestigious Series Mania, the series stars Claudia Karvan (Bump, Puberty Blues, Love My Way), Luke Wiltshire (Boyish and With Love, Lottie) and Jazi Hall (Playing Gracie Darling), and follows Darcy (Wiltshire), a trans man who reluctantly returns to his regional hometown to care for his estranged mother Nora (Karvan). But home isn’t as he left it. Nora has been living with a secret housemate: Dee (Hall), the teenage ghost of Darcy’s pre-transition self. As old wounds resurface, Darcy must confront the parts of himself he tried to leave behind or risk losing himself entirely.

Homebodies premieres Saturday 28 March at SBS and SBS On Demand. Episodes air weekly on SBS starting Saturday 28 March at 8.30pm.
