Watch: First clips from Scarlett Johansson sci-fi 'Ghost in the Shell'

Paramount have released five teaser clips for the Scarlett Johansson-starring 'Ghost in the Shell', the forthcoming Hollywood live-action take on the classic cyberpunk Manga.

Here's your first look at Scarlett Johansson and Takeshi Kitano in action in the Hollywood adaptation of Masamune Shirow's 'Ghost in the Shell', the Manga that served, of course, as the basis for Mamoru Oshii's classic 1995 anime. The new film, which has already courted online controversy for its alleged whitewashing, was shot partially in New Zealand and is directed by Rupert Sanders ('Snow White and the Huntsman'). Michael Pitt and Juliette Binoche also star.

'Ghost in the Shell' hits cinemas early 2017.
