"What would you rather: Be hit by a man, or hit a man first?"
So asks Gregori (Vincent Cassel) of young Alexander (Jeremy Chabriel), in the engrossing trailer for Partisan, the much-anticipated new film by Australian director Ariel Kleiman.
The movie made waves at January's Sundance Film Festival, where it won the World Cinematography Award (for DOP Germain McMicking).
Gregori is the leader of a cult that trains children to be hired assasins. Alexander is one of his young charges, who starts to question Gregori's worldview.
Partisan opens first in France on May 8 and in Australia on May 28, via Madman.
