Ahead of the 2020 US Presidential Election on November 3 – and as the White House reels from a coronavirus outbreak that saw President Donald Trump hospitalised – the only scheduled debate between the Vice Presidential candidates, Republican incumbent Mike Pence and Democratic challenger Kamala Harris, will take place this Thursday (AEDT) at the University of Utah.
The moderator will be USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page.
Viewers in Australia can watch the debate LIVE from 12pm midday AEDT on SBS TV (see the SBS Guide for local broadcast times) and on SBS On Demand, or via the SBS News website, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
A second encounter between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is scheduled for October 16 (AEDT), to be held at Florida’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and moderated by C-SPAN producer Steve Scully. Their third debate is planned for October 23 (AEDT) at Tennessee’s Belmont University, with NBC News journalist Kristen Welker moderating.
