My Flesh and Blood is about Californian mother Susan Tom and her family of 11 adopted disabled children. Dealing with conditions ranging from genetic skin diseases to missing limbs, Susan constantly encourages the children to look beyond their disorders and rise above their limitations.Director Jonathan Karsh has captured intimately the chaos, sadness and extraordinary ability of one woman to care for those cast aside by society.
