Eurovision audiences worldwide copped an eyeful this morning during the live broadcast of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest when a man took to the stage draped in an Australian flag and bared his bum to the crowd. The incident took place during an out-of-competition performance by Jamala, the Ukranian singer who had won last year's Eurovision.
While many were quick to assume the man was Australian, it was in fact serial prankster Ukranian TV presenter Vitalii Sediuk. He has an extensive history of interrupting public events, but this may be his most high-profile incident yet.
Thankfully the SBS crack team of journos were on the ground and delivering coverage of the breaking news as it happened.
It didn't take long for reporter Brett Mason to confirm that the mooner wasn't an Aussie.
Australian Eurovision artist Isaiah was shocked by it and thought it was "funny because it was so gross".
For some waking up to watch the song contest on TV in the early hours of Sunday morning, seeing the guy on stage was not what they expected.
There were doubts pretty quickly that the flasher was Australian. The evidence was damning:
Australian viewers watching the broadcast live on SBS accepted the incident in typical Aussie fashion:
But, of course, won't somebody think of the flag?
