There's no new episode of ORVILLELAND this week - but rest assured that we're not going to keep you in the lurch.
It's awesome that SBS VICELAND is able to fast track shows like The Orville to Australian audiences within hours of its initial broadcast. But with that speedy delivery comes the occasional hiccup, like this week where the US aren't screening a new episode. We can't get ahead of the US, so instead SBS VICELAND will have some alternate programming.
But, we don't want to leave you wandering the streets looking for something good to enter your life. So, the team from the ORVILLELAND podcast has a few suggestions of what you could instead watch.
A few suggestions:
The New Young Millionaires - Fri 9pm SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand
Heirs to huge fortunes of tens, even hundreds of millions of pounds, these mega-rich twentysomethings are part of the planet’s wealthiest 1 percent. This small circle of privileged young people flaunt their lavish lifestyles on social media, reality tv, and in magazines. A golden youth who embrace their wealth, and are not afraid of causing controversy.
Berlin Station - SBS On Demand
Berlin Station is a contemporary spy series that follows Daniel Miller (Richard Armitage), an undercover agent who has just arrived at the CIA foreign station in Berlin, Germany. Miller has a clandestine mission: to determine the identity of a now-famous whistle-blower named Thomas Shaw. Guided by veteran Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans), Daniel learns to contend with the rough-and-tumble world of the field agent: agent-running, deception, and the dangers and moral compromises.
Counterpart - SBS On Demand
This espionage series explores a mysterious world hidden beneath the surface of our everyday existence. Howard Silk (J.K. Simmons), a lowly cog in a Berlin-based UN spy agency, discovers that his organisation safeguards the secret of a crossing into a parallel dimension, where the only man he can trust is his near-identical counterpart from this parallel world.
Counterpart returns to SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand next week.
