Well travelled and Internationally claimed Poet Ali Cobby Eckerman has been awarded the Red Room Poetry Fellowship.
A Proud Yankuntjatjara and Kokatha Woman Ali Cobby Eckerman is paving the way for Indigeneous Poetry in Australia.
"It's a dream for your work to be recognised, both the publish work and community work for Aboriginal Poetry is very important," Ali says.
The 2017 Red Room Fellowship Award includes $10,000 with residency and travel assistance for the winner to undertake an intensive period of Creative Development.
