Wanting to make cancer treatment gentler and more effective for elderly patients with blood cancer and other blood disorders, Dr. Tracy Heng of Monash University has led a team on stem cell research for many years for way to lower the dose of chemotherapy or radiotherapy that resets a patients immune system before a blood stem cell transplant. Her research has been recognized and she was awarded the Metcalf prize 2016. In an interview with Ivan Leung, Dr. Heng is going to tell us more about her research.
