Philippines' Gilas and Australian Boomers will be facing disciplinary hearings after the brawl incident during their World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifier match.
FIBA tweeted on Monday that they will hold an investigation and the decision will be communicated to both teams in the next few days.
The Australian Boomers defeated Gilas Pilipinas with a final score 89-53.
The Boomers proved to be too strong for Gilas Pilipinas as they widen the lead to 15 with the first half buzzer at 52-37.
It was supposed to be a regular basketball game between two teams-Australia Boomers and the Philippines' Gilas, but later on ended up in a brawling match.
The game was stopped before the third quarter after a fight broke out between Gilas guard Roger Pogoy and Australian veteran Chris Goulding, that lead to nine Gilas players being ejected, leaving them with only three players.
Two of the remaining players were fouled out , leaving Philippines' Gilas with only one player left.
Gilas Pilipinas head coach and the media are quick to react about the brawl and how it actually started.
