French speakers who are embarrassed by their accent can now tell themselves that it's an asset more than an issue; the world thinks they sound incredibly sexy, especially when they speak English.
63% of Australians actually believe the French accent is very attractive.
Italian, Spanish, German and Portuguese are the other favourite accents from the 15 000 polled Babbel users. On the other end of the spectrum, they believe that Turkish, Danish, Dutch and Russian accents don't sound that great.
As for the French, they love the sound of the Italian accent and don't mind the English and Spanish accents as well.
