Stanko Prosenak and Anica Markič from Melbourne were both actively involved in the movement for Slovenian independence in Australia. They were members of the Slovenian National Council in Victoria and spoke frequently at Slovenian demonstrations in support of the Slovenian independence movement in Melbourne's city square and in front of the Victorian parliament. Stan and Anica are both very proud and patriotic Australian Slovenians.
