Brace yourselves, movie buffs: On October 1 we’re unleashing over 400 free movies online, available all the time at SBS On Demand.
You’ve told us that you love the convenience of watching our movies whenever it suits you, so we’re giving you more of what you want: non-stop movies at SBS On Demand.
Back in March, we offered 100 movies online in the Film Festival of 100 Clicks. The response was so amazing that we put our heads together and wondered how we could make the SBS On Demand experience even better for our prized movie lovers. So we quadrupled it.
400 movies available online, all the time.
What's on offer
On October 1, 400 movies will go live at SBS On Demand - and they'll stay there for up to 12 months.
There'll be something to suit just about every taste. You’ll be able to dive in and watch a film from your favourite genre or choose from our specialty collections.
Just some of the standouts include: Fish Tank, Bicycle Thieves, Black Dynamite, Broken Embraces, American Splendor, Oldboy, The Last Emperor, Pusher, The Woodsman, Velvet Goldmine, Room in Rome, and The Thin Blue Line.
We’ve cast the net wide to bring you: celebrated films from the world’s great storytellers; bone-chilling thrillers and genre classics; bold explorations of sex and relationships; and light-hearted comedies for those times when you feel like kicking back and having a laugh.
