Fans are sending messages of support to INXS guitarist Tim Farriss, who may never play again after losing a ring finger in a boat accident.
The guitarist reportedly had emergency surgery to fix his injured left hand after the accident in January but in an email to his bandmates he says he doesn't know how well he'll recover.
"I don't know if I will be able to play properly again," the email, reported by News Corp, says.
Fans of the legendary rock band have wished Farris a speedy recovery on social media.
"Get well Tim Farriss. #StumpSolidarity," @joebfrost said.
"Tim Ferris, there is nothing wrong with your brain, you have the knowledge, just retrain your hand! given time to heal, U'll recover!" said @tne51638.
Bandmate Chris Murphy says the 57-year-old is undergoing physiotherapy and is getting the best possible care.
"This was a terrible accident, we are all here to support him," he told News Corp.
