A woman has died after being hit by a car in Dublin, north of Adelaide.

A woman has died after being hit by a car north of Adelaide.

The 61-year-old was struck on the Port Wakefield Highway at Dublin on Tuesday night and died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the car was not injured and is now speaking with police.

The woman's death is the 53rd on South Australia's roads so far this year, three more than at the same time last year.
