Men impersonate police in Brisbane attack

Two men have impersonated police and pulled a gun during a street robbery in the Brisbane suburb of Wilston.

Two men have impersonated police and pulled a gun on a man having a cigarette outside a house on Brisbane's northside.

The men were in a red sedan with red and blue flashing lights mounted to the dashboard when they pulled up outside the Wilston home early on Saturday morning.

One declared he was a police officer and produced a firearm before ordering the 27-year-old man to raise his hands, kneel and place his belongings on the ground.

As he knelt, he was kicked in the head before the man took his phone.

The victim was taken to hospital with face injuries.

Police have appealed for public help as they hunt the impersonators.
