I actually did speak Farsi at home, and it wasn't until probably year one that I could really start to speak English... when I was at school, I used to be able to understand people, but then my reply would be in Farsi. Pariah Taherzadeh shares her experience of growing up in Australia with the Small Voices Big Ideas crew. Pariah arrived in Australia as a child with her mother. She talks about navigating cultural difference, and how, happily, much has changed since she was a child.
