Science shows that we've already heated the world up to dangerous levels... it's already messing up our weather, and it's making it harder to grow food, it's increasing the intensity of bush fires and storms and floods.
Tim Winton
But it's not all doom and gloom - Tim offers some advice about how to tackle these challenges before Rosie, Myah and Margaret head out to find out what the local community is doing to support a healthier environment.
It's not too late if we stop burning fossil fuels, if we clean our energy and adopt a gentler way of living in the world, we can avoid the worst of it.
