For over 45 years, Karim, known as Ken, has advocated for and supported the rights of the individuals and communities who have made a substantial contribution to multicultural affairs in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.
He is a winner of Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils Australia award in 2005, NSW volunteer of the year award 2008, Governer of NSW Order of Australia award 2010.
