Susanne Aoun is a poet who wears the hijab as part of her identity as a Muslim woman. She often faces criticism within her community on the basis of perceived violation of cultural practices. In this interview, she speaks about her dilemma of being a talented and vocal female poet and what's accepted in conservative circles.
