A man who allegedly threatened to kill police while armed with a knife in Sydney last year is now facing terrorism charges over the incident. Police allege the man approached uniformed officers from behind in inner-city Surry Hills in June and made verbal threats towards them. The 26-year-old has been charged with being armed with intent to assault police and steal from persons and will appear in court in February. New South Wales assistant police commissioner Mick Willing says the charges are part of an ongoing investigation.
