Adelaide survives its hottest day on record

Adelaide has sweltered through its hottest day in 130 years of records, hitting 46.6 degrees Celsius. 

Meanwhile, the mercury is forecast to hit new highs in Victoria today. 

Dr Andrew Tupper from the Bureau of Meteorology is urging Victorians to be prepared for the hot conditions
