The challenges facing the African communities in Melbourne will be discussed during a two-day conference at The University of Melbourne with representatives from Governments, Police, and community organisations.


African Australians Settlement & Integration 2030: Opportunities and Challenges Conference will be held at The University of Melbourne on 12th & 13th November 2018.

African Australian population is one of the fastest growing communities in Australia. Current estimation suggests

close to half a million African born Australians are living in Australia. Over 100,000 living in Melbourne alone who

participate and contribute to the Australian society.

The Conference will look at articulation on African Australians position in the ways of protecting and strengthening

Australia's multiculturalism and social inclusion. It will also set the agenda for the African Australians settlement and

integration beyond 2030.
