An interview with a Nauru detainee after Amnesty report

Human Rights Group Amnesty International has released a report based on interviews with asylum seekers and refugees in Australia's offshore detention camp on the island of Nauru.


Over 1,000 adults and children remain on the island behind what Amnesty describes as a fortress of secrecy.

Amnesty International has alleged many of the 400 asylum seekers detained at the Nauru centre have attempted suicide over prison-like conditions they face in indefinite detention.
