1 in every 4 Australians fell victim to a cyber crime last year


According to a 2017 report from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, 1 in 4 Australians was a victim to a cybercrime. This is estimated to have resulted in 50 million dollars in loses between individuals and businesses.

The Australian Cyber Security Centre, through Stay Smart Online is hosting a raising awareness week every year to demonstrate the ways people, business and the community can protect themselves online. This year’s theme is “Reverse The Threat” and it’ll run from the 8th of October till the 14th.
