Aya Masarwi will be remembered and a scholarship in her name will be the start

The Australian International Aid Organization (AIA) has recently uncovered their latest Water Well Project which aims at providing clean drinking water to disadvantaged communities in Togo. The project carries the name of 21-year-old international Arab Israeli student Aya Maasarwe who was raped and murdered in Melbourne last January.


The Water well project is not the only initiative aiming at  commemorating Aya’s memory as her Father revealed exclusively to SBS Arabic24 the talks the family is holding with the Victorian Government to arrange a scholarship in her name to students from her howm town to study at La Trobe University in Melbourne.
