Beirut: arrests and political talks to contain tension over minister's convoy shooting

Lebanese government took security steps to contain the tension sparked by the shooting of minister Saleh Al Gharib's convoy.


Arrests were made along with a series of political deliberations in an attempt to defuse the tension.

Lebanese Annahar daily editor Nabil Bo Monsif told SBS Arabic24 that the measures taken so far will defuse the crisis.
