Obesity is a major problem in Australia. It is estimated that 25 percent of Australian adults are now obese, while two-thirds of the population are overweight. While most people tend to blame obese people and think their life style and diet are the reasons behind their obesity, some people and health organisations are challenging these preconceptions.

Fouad Kassab is a whole-foods chef and author of The Food Blog (thefoodblog.com.au ). He suffered from obesity, not due to his lifestyle and choices, but due to circumstances beyond his control, mainly the war in Lebanon.

After years of suffering from obesity and other related illnesses, Fouad managed to lose weight and maintain a healthy life style by adopting a new diet that is taking over the world. It is the Paleo diet that changed his life.

More about Fouads story in this interview.
