Cyber security intiative

The federal government has announced it will spend hundreds of millions of dollars on defending Australia from overseas cyber attacks. the Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has publicly acknowleged for the first time Australia's offensive capabilities to deter attacks from overseas. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says the internet has strengths but is also vulnerable, and no one is immune to attack. He says the $230-million funding will be spread across 33 different initiatives. More in this report
