Dear Syria Award

S-B-S has taken home three awards at this year's New South Wales Premier's Multicultural Media Awards. John Birmingham and Gina McKeon won the award for best story on cultural diversity with their story called "Boyz N The Wood", while Francesca Rizzoli from S-B-S Radio won the best long-form feature award for "Dear Syria". Raymond Selvaraj and Kulasegaram Sanchayan from S-B-S Radio Tamil won the best radio report for "Untouchables among us". S-B-S journalists Omar Dabbagh, Brianna Roberts, Peggy Giakoumelos and Pallavi Jain were also nominated for awards.
