First People's stories were told at the Arts Centre in Melbourne as part of this year Big World Up Close.


Centering on global first peoples experiences, Arts Centre Melbourne organised an event for storytellers and Artists from indigenous Australia, Palestine and South Africa. 

Artists: Paola Balla, Declan Furber Gillick, Aseel Tayah, Samah Sabawi, Sello Molefi, Astrid Mbani and Roberta Joy Rich and Candy Bowers

We spoke to palyright and poet Samah Sabawi about the event and what it means.
