"I felt my body was very hot. They told me I had dengue fever," Abdul explains.
"I would like to say to the people who hear me, I want them to help us get out of here because we are in a really bad situation."
Abdul alleges there are, "Lots of people getting sick and no one is looking after us."
Abdul shared photos showing the rough living conditions on the island that could potentially be to blame for further exacerbating the outbreak.
A spokesperson for the Department of Immigration and Border Protection last month confirmed the outbreak of disease at the centre to SBS Arabic24, saying "The Department is aware of an increased number of cases of Dengue Fever in Nauru with diagnosed cases within the transferee and refugee community and service provider staff."
