Hormone changes at menopause may contribute to depressed mood and anxious feelings and you may find your emotions swing from joy to frustration and annoyance in the blink of an eye. Whether menopause causes depression continues to be debated but there are many things you can do to help with both depression and anxiety if you experience these at the same time as menopause.


Hot flushes and irregular periods are two of the most common menopause symptoms that women will experience. Others such as night sweats, low libido and vaginal dryness are also common between women. 

in line with these biological changes Women may experience low self esteem and some depression.

Dr Mahmoud Abou Arab says that proper preperation to Menopause through education and being aware of what to expect may make the journey a lot more comfortable and bearable.
