Pre-production on Hollywood blockbuster Godzilla vs Kong will begin on the Gold Coast this month, while Disney series Reef Break will also shoot in Queensland.
A $140 million tax break announced in this year's federal budget has helped lure more film production to Australia, effectively doubling the existing rebate offered for films to 30 per cent.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the tax break would provide a pipeline of work for the film industry in Australia.
"The supply chain for this industry reaches right across the country," he told reporters on the Gold Coast on Monday.
"Talking to the crew hire companies here today, Australians here living on the Gold Coast, having that continuity of work means that they can have certainty about how they plan for their own future, how they save for their own future."
