Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton is pushing for parliament’s intelligence and security committee to pass proposed encryption laws by the next fortnight.

 The Australian is reporting the move which follows the government’s plan to push through legislation that would strip terrorists of their Australian citizenship, if they are eligible for a foreign passport.

 Intelligence agencies have privately raised concerns of possible terrorist attacks over the Christmas period following the recent Bourke Street attack.
