Harmony Day in Australia coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
More than 70,000 Harmony Days celebrations have been held since 1999, in Australian childcare centers, Australian schools, community communities, churches, and federal government agencies… etc.One of Sydney's major events this year is Sports in Harmony which is in collaboration between sporting bodies such as AFL, NRL, NSW Cricket and NSW Netball, NSW Football and Australian Red Cross.
The same event last year found a huge success, with more than 100 new arrivals to Australia attending and having a go at the many sports on offer in Australia.
The event will run on Wednesday 21 March 2017 in Fairfield Park, 24 Lawson street Fairfield Sydney.
