Health Minister to repay Gold Coast travel expenses

The federal Education Minister Sussan Ley (lee) is offering to pay back Commonwealth funds claimed for a 2015 trip to Queensland during which she and her partner purchased an investment property. It follows calls from the opposition for Ms Ley to resign if she cannot explain properly the circumstances surrounding the taxpayer-funded trip to the Gold Coast. Ms Ley says she will also ask the Finance Department to invoice her for a number of other trips.
