Since 2016, there has been a steady increase in annual complaints against family doctors or the GP, according to the Australian Agency for Health Providers' data. Last year, the agency received 7,000 complaints of dissatisfaction with the quality of medical care provided by family doctors.
Professor Giano Pecoraro, chairman of the Australian Medical Association, said the country had the best medical care system and the doctors were of a very high standard. But the Association reported that a large part of the accuracy of the diagnosis depends on information provided by the patient and here lies the problem, according to Professor Pecoraro
