Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says Australia will push for easier working visas for expats in the United Kingdom.

Currently in London, Ms Bishop says she's optimistic about a post-Brexit Britain, and that Australia's push for better access to the U-K relies on it leaving the E-U's customs union.

She says Australia and the U-K will also negotiate a free trade deal once Brexit is completed.
